Brother-in-law called plumber to come out and Remove a garbage disposal from the kitchen sink as he was not pleased with it the day since he had the house built. The plumber looked at it and under the sink and give him a price of $200, this was 20 years ago. brother-in-law said "no thats too much" plumber said "wait a minute let me go out to the truck and see what I have" he came back into house and said I have the parts on the truck and the price came down to $150, brother-in-law felt like he was being ripped off for the plumber to go down so quick as the parts should have been on the truck anyway. brother-in-law said no and remove it himself. I guesss this plumber was just used to give the high ball and then when customer would complain he would come down with the price, probably some customers probably even thought they were getting a good deal as the parts where on the TRUCK. remember that was 20 years ago when $150 could buy a whole lot more than now. -Let a plumber work for an hour straight and he will charge you at least $150 if you let him......
