Question: Does anybody know where to get a beacon motor for getaway.
Answer: -Here ya go... http://www.pbresource.com/motor.html -I bought a 12v emergency beacon from Farm & Fleet for $20. I took the dome off it, placed it where the old one was (had to cobble a little bracket to hold it in place) and it fit perfectly. The old red dome even fit back on. I used half of a full wave 200v 25a bridge rectifier to knock down the feed voltage from 24 AC to 12 DC (the heavier-duty 400v rectifiers rated at 35a can also be used). Just use two of the four leads in your circuit and wire it in series with the beacon. If nothing happens when you power it up, simply reverse the polarity of the two leads.
