 | No water flow....after hot water heater installation.......... |

Question: I replaced our leaking water heater following all the installation guidelines. I began filling the tank, so I opened the hot water faucet in the kitchen to allow for the air to escape, but right before the tank filled completely, I heard a noise like air flow up the hot water outlet. After that all everything stopped....no air or water flowed from the hot water side of the faucet. Strange part is there is no water coming from the cold side either (it worked before). I'm guessing that the water lines become clogged with something, or maybe a vacuum lockup or something.....in truth, I really don't know what's going on........any help would greatly be appreciated....
Answer: -Until you get the water flow problem fixed, make sure the hot water heater is shut off (ie if electric, shut off the power, and if gas, shut off the gas). You do not want the tank to try heating until you know for sure that the tank is filled with water. -Unscrew aerator from faucet and clean the gunk out.
