Marine Toilet Question

Question: So you are cruising a day away from land and the toilet clogs...time for a major tear-down. How do you get what's in the toilet out before you start taking it apart?

Answer: -The way I ( and I would think Mr. Hag would agree to this) would handle it is really quite simple. "If you want to use it, you empty it and clean it, and I will fix it." -The boat tied up next to us had a similiar problem last year. There were an awful lot of trips up to the pit with buckets of rather foul looking liquid, which were tipped over the stern. This process took about an hour, and at least 15 bucketfulls. I didn't ask what was going on down below. -Ask my skipper on the raceboat. This is exactly what happened to us. I don't know how he did it. He was gone for about an hour and every five minutes a big wad of gooey paper would come flying from the head porthole across the pit, barely missing the dude who'd clogged it up before it landed in the water.
