Wanted: Plumber

Question: If anyone has a recommendation for a righteously good plumber, let me know. I am looking for someone to replace the broken drain on my bathtub that connects to old school cast iron plumbing in the basement... this stuff is out of my league to repair. I just want someone who will use appropriate parts, not do too little or too much repairing that will stay fixed, and stick to the bid price.

Answer: -Try D&F Plumbing; they're near you. I've used them for institutional projects. They've been around awhile, so they won't be taken aback by the old fixtures / cast iron stuff. -go to home depot. talk to a plumber , he'll show you the parts you need it is a VERY easy job. worst case - you will cut the cast iron and use a rubber coupling to joint the new p-trap. they sell cast iron saw blades that fit on a saw's all ( you can rent a saw for $10 ) they cut like a hot knife in butter. but... the drains are made in a way so you can install with the tub in place. most of the drains are brass - are you sure it's the problem ?
